When people talk about sex, they always associated with pornography or obscenity and avoided to talk about it as they considered it as a taboo. However, humans are very curious about sex since they are small. Up to now, there are lots of artworks that focus on nude bodies as the main theme. Zhang thinks that those artworks have a sexual desire. Although many artists deny this theory, Zhang tries to recombine those nude images in her artworks to express the concept of this sexual desire.
To Zhang, she considers her artworks as the articles of encyclopedia in this exhibition, as well as her imagination about sex. But are those artworks pure or not? The artist would like to leave this question to the audience for judging.
